Writing Through It:
Expressive Writing Mentoring Packages Now Available
When I was navigating my own breast cancer journey, writing became more than just a creative outlet—it was a lifeline. It gave me a way to process fear, make sense of uncertainty, and carve out moments of clarity in the middle of chaos. If you’ve ever felt that pull toward the page during difficult times, you already know how powerful writing can be.
That’s why I’m offering Expressive Writing Mentoring Packages—a space designed specifically for reflection, exploration, and emotional processing through writing. Whether you're facing a diagnosis, living in survivorship, or supporting someone you love through their experiences, these packages are about creating a safe, consistent space to meet yourself on the page—raw, honest, and unfiltered.
I understand how vulnerable this kind of writing can feel because I’ve been there myself. With years of experience as a teaching artist and mentor, along with my own lived experience with childhood trauma and cancer survivorship, I know how to hold space for the hard stories. My role isn’t to push or direct but to listen, reflect, and gently guide—always with compassion, clarity, and respect for your process.
This isn’t about crafting polished literary works (unless you want it to be). It’s about using writing as a form of witnessing—to acknowledge your experience, to see yourself with compassion, and to hold space for your own voice without judgment or expectation.
If this sounds like something that could support you, let’s talk. You can read more about my qualifications, and book a discovery call on the website.
I hope to hear from you.
Warmly,
Ren
Sometimes, being a witness to your own story is the most powerful thing you can do.
This is mad, Ren. When we chatted yesterday I had no idea you were a practitioner of expressive writing. I call my practice therapeutic writing, but same-same! I’ve been wondering if we need a directory of such practitioners on Substack 🤔 Maybe I’ll start with us ☺️
